Amal Bint Bandar Alsudairy
Amal is an abstract impressionistic painter and bronze sculptor. Born and raised in Riyadh, she grew up learning from different ethnicities, cultures, and styles that she has encountered in the melting pot that is the middle east, and her travels around the world. Which have greatly inspired her to create unique and unpredicted pieces.
When it comes to creating art, she works with a wide range of materials, from acrylic paint, wood, coffee, gypsum, and metal to fabrics from old Saudi dresses, wooden doors and windows from old Saudi houses, old papers, semi-precious stones, as well as anything that comes to mind while working on a piece. She has also designed pieces of furniture made with eco-friendly Saudi wood from dead trees, and created unique art burning aluminum and mixing it with hand painted art done on natural wood. These are only a few examples of the creative approaches to communicate through art that she has displayed throughout the years.
"Art is never put within specific guidelines, which makes it even more interesting to play with different materials and test out new things."
Amal's sole mission is to inspire others to create, using her creations; whether it be art or sculpting or even architecture. When it comes to inspiring herself, she reaches deep into her identity and allows her passion towards her culture, patriotism and personality take over, using the lands and desert of Saudi Arabia and the materials it has to offer.
Along with creating one-of-a-kind pieces like the map of Riyadh (Najd) as a bronze sculpture table carried by people to show our love for the city and the country, Amal's most important achievement is providing her many clients with the chance to bring their vision of the perfect home in terms of art, architecture, and interior design to life.
